James Leonard Lacy's Obituary
James Leonard Lacy, age 70 of West York, Illinois, passed away at 10:51 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a National Guard Recruiter, a member of New Hope Baptist Church, VFW Post 3601 and Am Vets. Mr. Lacy was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Army Reserves. Born December 31, 1944 in Paris, Illinois, he was the son of the late John William and Thelma Lemay (Weir) Lacy. He married Gloria Malone January 22, 1977 in Paris and she passed away June 25, 1995. He then married Wanda (Gates) August 25, 1995. Survivors include his wife Wanda Lacy of Stuart, Florida, his children; Gregory James Lacy of Glendale, Arizona, Sean F. Lacy of Paris, France, Crystal Louise Miller of West York, Illinois and James L. Lacy II of Terre Haute, Indiana, step-children; Beverly Jane McCain of Paris, Illinois, William Winkler of Paris, Illinois, Ronald Curtis Winkler of Paris, Illinois, Timothy Adam Winkler of Paris, Illinois, and Angela, D.J. and Eric Hoult, all of Florida, siblings; Virgil Lacy of Paris, Illinois, Charles Lacy of Tacoma, Washington and Patricia Ratty of Kankakee, Illinois, a half-sister Madonna Jane Lacy of Charleston, Illinois, a step-sister Janet Austin of Paris, Illinois, fifteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two step-brothers.

Funeral services for Mr. Lacy will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Dixon officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to service time Thursday.
Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601.
Memorial contributions may be made to Edgar County Animal Shelter.
