James N. Fiser, 85 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a civil engineer for Illinois Department of Transportation.  Mr. Fiser was a United States Army veteran and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and American Legion Post 211.

Born February 1, 1934 in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of the late James Wesley and Esther Marie (Norris) Fiser. He married Mary Jo Flanagan January 6, 1967 at the St. Mary's Church Rectory in Paris, Illinois and she survives.  Other survivors include a step-son John (Marilyn) Morrison of Springfield, Virginia, two sisters, Elaine Ridenour of Westfield, Indiana and Jacquelyn (Everett) Layman of Kokomo, Indiana, and two step-grandchildren, James and Austin Morrison, both of Springfield, Virginia.

Following cremation, graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in St. Mary's Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Valery Burusu officiating.
