Jackie G. Runyan, age 96 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 4:55 AM on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Harrison’s Crossing Health Campus in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:15 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Jack was born on May 8, 1930, in Paris, Illinois to Alonzo Joseph and Dorothy T. (Gibson) Runyan. He married Patsy Plavachen in Paris on July 21, 1950, and she preceded him in death.

Jack served as a member in the United States Navy and retired from MetLife as an insurance agent. He enjoyed golfing and was also member of the VFW 2601 and American Legion Post #211.

He is survived by his children: Jeff Runyan and Dennis Runyan; his granddaughter, Holly Runyan; his brother, Bob Runyan; four great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Memorial contributions in memory of Jack may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
