Irene M. Risch, 86 of Paris, IL passed away at 3:58 p.m., Monday April 11, 2016 at Altenheim Community Nursing Home in Indianapolis, IN. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was past president of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. She was also a Girl Scout leader.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Paris with Pastor Jerry Klug officiating. Visitation is Friday at the church from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Burial is in Edgar Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church.

Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.

Irene was employed as a secretary at Jackson County Hospital in Seymour, IN, Indiana Green Thumb, Zion Lutheran Church in Matteson and General Electric in Chicago.

Irene was born April 2, 1930 in Chicago the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Kiss Palman.

She married George Risch June 16, 1951 in Chicago and he passed away in 1995.

Irene is survived by her sons: Carl Risch of Decatur, IN, Paul Risch of Indianapolis, IN and David Risch of Chicago; her grandchildren Jessica Risch and Curtis (Jessica) Risch all of Indianapolis, IN and her great-granddaughter Emma Risch.
