Hugh I. Newton age 75 of Brazil, IN formerly of Chrisman, IL passed away at 9 a.m., Friday October 20, 2017 at his home. He was a member of Gods Acre Pentecostal Church in Cayuga, IN. Hugh was an automobile and electronics repairman.

Graveside services and burial were 2:30 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Friends Chapel Cemetery at Scottland, IL. Visitation was 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris.

He was born Feb. 3, 1942 in Scottland, IL the son of the late Albert and Ada Huffaker Newton.

Hugh is survived by his children: Nicky Bocook of Brazil, IN, Edgar Allen Newton of Danville, IL, Frankie Eugene Newton of Oliver Springs, TN, Tawanna Lynette Newton of Oliver Springs, TN, and Wanda Gail Gill of Danville, IL several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Roger Lee Newton, two brothers Samuel Eugene Newton and Albert Floyd Newton and a grandson Andrew Isaiha Bocook.
