Howard W. Yeargin, age 83 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 10:06 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a carpenter and building contractor. He was a member of Nevins Christian Church and was a volunteer for the Compassionate Food Pantry for 15 years.

Born October 26, 1934 in Elbridge Township, Edgar County, Illinois, he was the son of the late James and Vivian Lois (Howard) Yeargin. He married Shirley A. Henson September 3, 1954 at Nevins Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife Shirley A. Yeargin, three children; Carol Furnish, Brad (Margo) Yeargin, and Janean Gilliland, all of Paris, Illinois, six grandchildren; Jarrett Yeargin and Erin (Heather) Yeargin, both of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Robyn (Mike) Bohannon of Lincoln, Illinois, Jamie Hashman and Ryan Furnish, both of Paris, Illinois, Hallie Gilliland of San Antonio, Texas, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Deem and Mildred Cook.

Visitation for Mr. Yeargin will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Services will be private. Private burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.
