Helen L. Young Rode, age 94 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care Center, Paris, Illinois. She was a homemaker and beautician. She attended Paris First Church of the Nazarene and Lake Ridge Christian Church. Born March 7, 1921 in Livingston County, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Agatha (Shephard) Sinn. She married Charles Young April 1, 1940, he passed away November 4, 1991. She then married Samuel Rode May 22, 1994, he passed away October 15, 2002. Survivors include a daughter Maralee Renner and her husband Bill of Springfield, Illinois, seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Visitation for Helen will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 24. 2015 at Paris First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Paris First Church of the Nazarene and Lake Ridge Christian Church. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
