Helen L. Gorman, age 80 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 1:13 a.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. She was a homemaker, had worked at Godding Shoe Factory, and was a lunch room lady at St. Mary's School. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, former member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and a life member of VFW Post 3601 Auxiliary. Born May 26, 1936 in Redmon, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence "Bud" Liffick and the late Eunice (Anderson) Liffick. She married Harold F. Gorman December 16, 1955 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Brocton, Illinois, he passed away November 16, 2005. Survivors include five children; Donald Ray Gorman of Paris, Illinois, David A. (Karla) Gorman of Paris, Illinois, Donna Kay (Frank) Rubenacker of Paris, Illinois, Darrell Lee (Holly) Gorman of Athens, Alabama, and Dawn Boyd of Paris, Illinois, two sisters, Charlotte Roberts of Paris, Illinois and Carolyn Weise of Broadlands, Illinois, seven grandchildren; Sarah, Christa, Jeremy, Nathan, Mailey, Dustin, and Kaylee, and two great grandchildren, Piper and Raven. Visitation for Mrs. Gorman will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with VFW Auxiliary services at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Following the visitation, cremation is planned. Private burial of the cremains will be held at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's School.
