Harry "Bud" Hissem, age 81, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care.

In keeping with State of Illinois mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, everyone attending the service must wear a mask while inside the funeral home. Everyone is welcome but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects may do so.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, Illinois. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.

Harry was born October 5, 1939 the son of the late Claude Hissem and Eleanor Hissem. He married Teri Wright Hissem in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1964. She preceded him in death on March 3, 1995.

Harry was very involved in his community. He owned and operated Parisian Lanes Bowling alley from 1988-2009 as well as taught industrial arts from 1973-1986. Harry was also a member Elk's BPOE 812.

He is survived by his children: Jay W. Hissem, of Terre Haute, Indiana, former daughter-in-law Michelle M. Hissem, Lindsay Thomey; his grandchildren: Joey Hissem of Brownsburg, Indiana, Ally Hissem of Paris, Illinois, Tyge Hissem of Paris, Illinois, Austin Hissem of Paris, Illinois, Skyy Hissem of Paris, Illinois, Eathan Hissem of Paris, Illinois, and several great grandchildren.

Harry is preceded in death by his late wife, Teri Wright Hissem, his son, Jeff Allen Hissem, and his sister, Jean Huxford.
