Harold R. Johnson's Obituary
Harold R. Johnson, age 91 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a farmer, a member of the Edgar County Farm Bureau, and a past president of Symmes Township Cemetery Board. Mr. Johnson was a United States Army veteran of WW II and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Born December 5, 1924 in Paris, Illinois, he was the son of the late Ora and Maude (Fultz) Johnson. He married Ramona (Joslin) Johnson February 10, 1949 in Terre Haute, Indiana, she passed away January 5, 2004. Survivors include four children; Linda Gray of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mary Morrison of Sigel, Illinois, David Johnson of Dennison, Illinois, and John Johnson of Bloomington, Illinois, a sister Barbara Rhoads of Paris, Illinois, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a granddaughter Kodi Johnson, and a sister Ruth Frances Kemper. Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time on Friday. Burial will follow in Forsythe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice 4529 S. 7th St. Terre Haute, Indiana 47802.
