Gwendolyn Joan Beasley, age 86 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 10:22 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Willowbrook Memory Care in Marshall, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.  Services will follow at 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Gary Wayne Arnold officiating.  Burial will follow in New Providence Cemetery.

Joan was born August 9, 1938 in Paris, Illinois to the late Leo N. and Mary Belle (Weaver) Martin.  She married Larry Beasley on December 23, 1956 at New Providence Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2020.

She was a homemaker and worked in the Kroger floral department and at Helfrich's Florist. She was a longtime member of New Providence Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed helping her husband Larry build and remodel homes. Joan loved flowers, especially mums, listening to music and yodeling.

She is survived by her children: Lisa Ashley of Gallatin, Tennessee, Michael Beasley (Joy) of Paris, Illinois, Elaine Butler of Polk City, Florida; her grandchildren: Keith Ashley (Katherine), Bret Ashley, Macala Beasley, Chris Winschief (Jenni); and her great grandchildren: Emma Grace Ashley, Ella Rose Ashley, and Kohen Michael Beasley.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister Diana Patrick.
