Glenn Alfred Cook's Obituary

Glenn Alfred Cook, age 88, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 11:14 A.M. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Horizon Health Paris Community Hospital.

A visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.

Glenn was born on June 10, 1933 in Grandview Township, Illinois. He is the son of the late Floyd and Kathryn (Kime) Cook. He married Wilma Potts on December 28, 1956. She survives.

Glenn was an engineer tech at IDOT and was also a farmer. He was a longtime and active member at Grandview Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Stratton Lodge #408 for 50 years, and was a volunteer firefighter for the Vermilion Fire Department. In his spare time he was little league coach in Vermilion. Glenn also served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his children: Curtis Dale (Laura) Cook of Oregon, Illinois, Kerrick Douglas (Michelle) Cook of Paris, Illinois; his sister, Alice Lauher of Ballwin, Missouri; his grandchildren: Travis, Kathryn Drew, Rileigh, and Charleigh Cook; three great grandchildren, and several nieces.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Allyn Cook.

Glenn will be remembered as a hard worker who loved his family and was always willing to help others.

Memorials may be made to the Vermilion Methodist Church or the Vermilion Volunteer Fire Department.
