Genevieve Mazely, age 95 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 8:58 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in her residence. She was a homemaker and a beautician.  She also was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Born February 24, 1924 in Villa Grove, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Sarah Elizabeth (Holmes) Gallagher. She married John Mazely and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include her daughter Kristin Fitzgerald of Paris, Illinois, a sister Melba Johnson of Villa Grove, Illinois, four grandchildren; Elizabeth Humphrey of Sullivan, Indiana, Stephen Gabrial Hughes of Richmond, Kentucky, Zachariah Fitzgerald of Paris, Illinois, and Jacob Fitzgerald of Paris, Illinois, five great grandchildren; Lacey Hopper of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Lauran Humphrey of Sullivan, Indiana, Lilia Hughes of Richmond, Kentucky, Logan Hughes of Richmond, Kentucky, and Layton Fitzgerald of Paris, Illinois, two step-great grandchildren Weston Landsaw and Bradley Landsaw, both of Paris, Illinois, and four nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Stephen Robert Mazely and Jon Randall Mazely, one brother James Gallagher, and one sister Vera Long.
