Gary W. Bell, age 68 of Hume, IL passed away at 11:32 p.m., Tuesday June 11, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was a farm hand and a U. S. Postal Service Employee.

Gary was a member of the Hume Lions Club.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 in Young America Cemetery with Pastor Virgil Haynes officiating. Memorials may be made to the Hume Lions Club.

Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gary was born in Paris, IL December 22, 1950 the son of Norma Jean Bell.

He married Sara Sue Bussart Bell June 19, 1970 in Charleston, IL and she survives.

Gary is also survived by his mother Norma Jean Rardin of Kansas, IL; his daughter: Christina Dawn Bell of Hume, IL; his grandchildren: Jazzalyn Ward of Fairmount, IL, Kacey Bell of Hume, IL and Kylie Bell of Tuscola, IL; his great-grandchildren: Waylon and McKenna; his siblings: Bryan (Penny) Rardin of Dietrich, IL, Sherry (Mike) Simpson of Kansas, IL, Kim Brookins of Kansas, IL and R. Edward Rardin of Kansas, IL.

He was preceded in death by his son Anthony Wayne Bell and his infant brother Joseph Rardin.
