Frank Lester Wallace age 82 of Paris, IL passed away at 11:18 a.m., Thursday July 26, 2018 at his home. He was a retired captain from the Paris Fire Department after 26 years of service. Frank served in the United States Army from April 5, 1955 to March 20, 1957.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday August 1, 2018 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation is Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens with military honors by American Legion Post 211 and V.F.W. 3601.
He was born May 24, 1936 in Edgar Township, Edgar County, Illinois the son of the late Frank Edgar and Waunitta Dailey Wallace.
Frank is survived by his nephews: William (Becky) Etchison of Paris, IL, Mike (Susan) Boerner of Camby, IN and Kevin (Margaret) Boerner of West Terre Haute, IN; his nieces: Twila (Sanford) Scott of New Goshen, IN and Carla Boerner of Charleston, IL; 15 great nieces and nephews and 10 great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeanie Wallace, his sister Esther Mae Garner and his great nephew Mark Boerner.
Frank was a member of the former Twin Lakes Cruiser Car Club.
