Frank Hollingsworth age 86 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 6:49 p.m. on Wednesday July 28, 2021.

A visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with burial at Edgar Cemetery in Paris.

He was born March 26, 1935 in Edgar County, Illinois, the son of the late Lewis and Marjorie Hollingsworth. He married Jacquolyn (Hutchings) Hollingsworth on December 29, 1954, she survives.

Frank served his country as a member of the United States Army in the Corp of Engineers.

He was a long time member of the Paris Christian Church. Frank was the owner of Hollingsworth Auto Body and Auto Service. He also owned a Standard Oil gas station in Chrisman, Illinois and managed the Standard Oil Bulk Plant in Paris, Illinois.

Frank had an early interest in go-kart racing that grew into a 40 year passion for sprint car racing. He holds several area championship titles and made lifetime friendships in the racing world.

He is survived by his children: Brenda Jo (Gordon) Cockburn of Paxton, Illinois, James Alan Hollingsworth of Paris, Illinois, John Jay Hollingsworth of Paris, Illinois; his sister Norma May Griffin of Paris, Illinois; his grandchildren: Hillary (Joseph) Sawyer  of Paxton, Illinois, Myndie (Travis) Glazik of Paxton, Illinois, Linda (Ben) Rogers  of Chrisman, Illinois, Cody Hollingsworth of Paris, Illinois, Zackaria (Danielle Cary) Hollingsworth of Paris, Illinois, Jennifer (Rich Garrahan) Hollingsworth of Lewes, Delaware, Frankie Hollingsworth of St. Bernice, Indiana; his great grandchildren: Lauren Sawyer, Aubree Sawyer, Elizabeth Sawyer, Kathryn Sawyer, Matthew Glazik, Beau Glazik, Casen Rogers, Stevan Rogers, Ellie Hollingsworth, Talon Hollingsworth and Uriel Hollingsworth

Frank is preceded in death by his siblings Robert Hollingsworth, Jenny Griffin, Donald Hollingsworth, and William Hollingsworth.
