Fenton Eugene
Cash
November 11, 1942 – February 1, 2026
Fenton Eugene Cash (Baldy), age 83, a lifelong resident of Paris Illinois, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones at 3:20 AM Sunday, February 1, 2026. He was born on November 11, 1942, the youngest son of Eugene Jefferson Cash and Alice (Brown) Cash.
His strong work ethic began at an early age as he delivered newspapers on his bicycle to save up enough money to buy his first Harley Davidson motorcycle at age 15. In his younger years, he was employed by Montgomery Ward, IG Hall and Dick Henson Marathon and Towing, and Kenny Vice Ford. In 1970, at only 28 years old, he opened and managed the Chrisman branch of Wolfes Auto Supply, moving to management of the Paris store in 1976.
In addition to motorcycles and automotive parts, Fenton also loved to cook. He spent many hours barbecuing in his backyard and later expanded this hobby by purchasing The Big Dipper by Twin Lakes. He later built a larger restaurant in its place, The Outback Cookshack. Prior to retirement, he worked in the warehouse at Simonton windows.
Fenton married his high school sweetheart, Judy (Burba) Cash on April 28, 1962, at the First Christian Church in Paris, Il. Together, they enjoyed attending their home church of Bell Ridge Christian Church, in earlier years, Lake Ridge Christian Church. He assisted his wife with genealogy research, including finding unmarked graves by dousing and cleaning up old neglected gravestones. He and Judy were instrumental in starting the "Holiday in the Park" at the West Lake here in Paris. They loved volunteering in the community through programs like Food for Kids Backpack Program and Rescue Me Clifford. He enjoyed travels with his wife, especially their motorcycle trip to Niagara Falls and a memorable trip to Alaska. When he wasn't working hard by his wife's side, he was taking care of his lawn. He appreciated a job well done but took the greatest pride in his yardwork.
He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Judy, just a few short months ago as well as son David Allen Cash, his parents Eugene and Alice Cash and his two brothers, Donald and Robert Cash.
He is survived by: daughter Teresa Keys (Ray Beukema) and son Richard Cash (Polly Norman), both of Paris, Il. Five grandchildren: Brandon (Amber) Keys of Paris, Il.
