Evelyn Irene Harris, 71 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 5:54 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in the Emergency Room of Paris Community Hospital / Horizon Health. Evelyn had worked at TRW, St. Mary of the Woods, U.O. Colson and Company and the First Christian Church.  She was a member of Nevins Christian Church.

Born April 29, 1948 in Terre Haute, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Albert and Katherine (Elkins) Whalen. She married Frank Harris June 12, 1968 in West Terre Haute, Indiana and he survives.  Other survivors include four sons; Mike (Sandy) Harris of Nokomis, Florida, Frank (Regina) Harris of Fruitland Park, Florida, Chuck Harris of Paris, Illinois, and Rick (Star) Harris of Nebraska, siblings; Clarence Whalen of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Robert Lee Whalen of Rockville, Indiana, Larry Dean Whalen of Paris, Illinois, Barbara Hankins of Veedersburg, Indiana, Debbie Russell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Diane Baker of Tennessee, Danita Thrall of Washington, and John William Whalen of Terre Haute, Indiana, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Edward Whalen.

Visitation for Evelyn will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Levellie officiating.  Burial will follow in Vermilion Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to ECCF, Inc.
