Esther Ilene Fessant, age 92 of Paris, passed away at 2:01 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Life's Journey Senior Living in Paris. She was a legal secretary and stenographer for Lee Sullivan, Lawrence B. Moore, and George Dole Law Offices and a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Born November 13, 1926 in Clinton, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Grant W. and Mary Elizabeth (Mering) Farrington. She married William Frank Fessant September 10, 1950 in Paris; he passed away April 26, 1989. Survivors include three children; Joe Fessant and his wife Donna of Paris, Vicki Fessant of Terre Haute, and Mary Beth Walls and her husband Curtis of Paris, one sister Ruth Nichols of St. Louis, Missouri, eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, two brothers, one grandchild, and one great grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fessant will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.   Burial will follow in Vermilion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Support Group.
