Ermajean (Johnson) Wheat, age 73, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 7:24 P.M. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Carle Foundation Hospital.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home with burial in Edgar Cemetery.

Jeanie was born on April 22, 1949 in Paris, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Emmett Henry and Edith M. (Jenkins) Johnson. She married Gary Dean Wheat on December 5, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He survives.

Jeanie was a longtime and active member at Bell Ridge Christian Church in Paris. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, shooting, and playing euchre. Jeanie was also involved in the Red Cross for over 20 years.

She is survived by her husband: Gary Dean Wheat, of Paris, Illinois; her son: Michael "Mike" (Kim) Hutson of Effingham, Illinois; her special step son: Ryan (Chrissy) Belleau; her brother: Bennie (Sandy) Johnson of Paris, Illinois; her grandchildren: Dylan and Marci; her step grandchildren: Cora and Evelyn of Kansas; and her nephews K.W. and Benji.

Jeanie is preceded in death by her parents, and her half brother, Bill Johnson.

Memorials may be made to Bell Ridge Christian Church or Edgar County DO IT.
