Erma L. Landes's Obituary
Erma L. Landes, age 80 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Paris Health Care Center. She was a farmer and also was employed at Meco Inc. She enjoyed plowing fields, squirrel hunting, and fishing. Born March 24, 1937 in Jefferson City, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Ernie and Alice (Hancock) Smith. She was first married to Dillard Gann, he preceded her in death. She then married Richard Landes, he also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son Patrick J. Gann of Paris, Illinois, two grandchildren, Martisa Landes and Katrina Gann, both of Kentucky, three great grandchildren; Aiden Cavender, Abbigail Cavender, and Kailee Fletcher, a sister Patty L. (John) Felgenhauer of Paris, Illinois, and a brother Loren G. (Verna) Smith of Paris, Illinois. Visitation for Mrs. Landes will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
