Erma Marcella Johnson age 94 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Gibson Family for Hospice Care at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. In keeping with Federal Mandates; Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Edgar Cemetery. Friends and Family may meet at the Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday for the procession to Edgar Cemetery. Marcella was a homemaker, a loving wife to her husband Glenn, and a loving mother to her sons. She enjoyed working with her flowers and that was reflected by her beautiful yard. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Paris, Illinois. Marcella was born February 18, 1926 in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of the late Robert and Ida Rosaline (Humphrey) Eveland. Marcella married Glenn C. Johnson July 3, 1945 in Paris, Illinois; he preceded her in death on January 31, 1993. Marcella is survived by her two sons; Phillip (Sara Gale) Johnson of Terre Haute, Indiana, Steven Johnson of Terre Haute, Indiana, a brother; Robert (Shirley) Eveland Jr., one granddaughter; Laurie Johnson (Patrick) Sands of Downers Grove, Illinois; three great grandchildren; Patty Trammel of Paris, Illinois, Benjamin Sands and Emma Sands of Downers Grove, Illinois, she was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ida Rosaline (Humphrey) Eveland, her husband; Glenn C. Johnson, one child; Elden Johnson, her sister; Kathryn Hiddle, her brothers; Eugene Eveland, James Eveland, and Charles Eveland, and one granddaughter; Shelly Trammel.

Special thanks to nephew Laverne Hiddle, and his wife Anita for helping care for Marcella in these later years. Also her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Paris Healthcare for the loving care they provided.
