Elizabeth Ann Henson, age 70 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 12:29 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Southwood Healthcare Center in Terre Haute, Indiana.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elizabeth was born on July 19, 1955 in Paris, Illinois to Donald J. and Mary Jane (Tweedy) Rhoads. She married Virgil F. Henson Sr. and he preceded her in death.

She proudly served as a member of the Army National Guard Unit #1544 and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Elizabeth was a 1973 graduate of Paris High School and attended Lake Land College where she earned her Associate Degree in Business Management. She worked as a manager at McDonalds for several years and was a press operator at the Bogue plant. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting casinos, gambling, going out to eat and traveling.

She is survived by her 2 brothers: Stephen J. Rhoads of Ashland, Illinois and Michael Ray Rhoads (Carla) of Grand Ledge, Michigan; her sister, Martha Gosnell (Danny) of Paris, Illinois; 4 nephews, 2 nieces, and several great nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 1 sister and 2 nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
