Eleanor Louise Lorenzen Adams, age 99 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 11:42 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Paris Healthcare Center.

In keeping with Federal Mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, all visitors are asked to wear a mask inside the church. Everyone is welcome, but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects will be able to do so. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 21, 2020 at Grace Lutheran Church in Paris, Illinois with funeral services following. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois.

Eleanor was born January 18, 1921 in Foosland, Illinois, the daughter of the late John F. and Emma (Sandbrink) Lorenzen.

She married Fred J. Adams on August 14, 1940 in Baytown, Texas. He passed away on May 6, 1981.

Eleanor was the bookkeeper for U.O. Colson Company as well as a homemaker.

She was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church in Paris, Illinois in which she was involved with the Ladies Aid, Mission Society and Friendship Guild.

Eleanor is survived by her children: Sandra (Jake) Payne of Paris, Illinois, Donald (Ginger) Adams of Paris, Illinois, Linda (Steve) Winans of Tuscola, Illinois, Marnita (Tom) Stuck of Paris, Illinois; her siblings: Marilyn Bess, Betty Wendt, David (Shirley) Lorenzen; her grandchildren: Lynette (Gary) Chupp of Tucson, Arizona, Bryan (Cindy) Payne of Fillmore, Indiana, Amy (Beth) Payne of Paris, Illinois, Marty (Jenelle) Adams of Paris, Illinois, Sherie (Richard) Dodson of Bainbridge Island, Washington, Jeff Winans of Rochester, Indiana, Sara (John) Hawkins of Tuscola, Illinois, John (Brittany) Winans of Litchfield, Illinois, Suzanna (Steve) Pangburn of Tucson, Arizona, Joe Winans of Collinsville, Illinois, Brad (Lora) Stuck of Olney, Illinois, Greg (Mandi) Stuck of Paris, Illinois, Emily (Weylen) Clary of Haslet, Texas; her great-grandchildren: Adam Chupp, Olivia Chupp, Josh Payne, Aaron Payne, Juanita Payne, Shae Payne, Eleanor Adams, Maxwell Dodson, Torrey Winans, Cy Winans, Whitley Winans, Charlotte Hawkins, Amelia Hawkins, Lincoln Pangburn, Gwen Eleanor Pangburn, Addelyn Winans, Owen Winans, Grant Hawkins, Tyler Stuck, Peyton Hightower, Rylee Stuck, Mason Stuck, Reed Stuck, Luke Stuck, Keelen Clary, Codie Clary; her great-great-grandchildren: Easton Blevins, Hayden Payne, Elias Hightower, Eleanor Chupp, Emersyn Hightower.

She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Emma Lorenzen; her husband: Fred Adams; her brother: John T. Lorenzen; her sister: Doris Westfall; and her sister-in-law: Leila Lorenzen.
