Elaine Joy Wilson, age 61 of Paris, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman. She was a business office manager and a member of Mattoon United Methodist Church. Born June 4, 1954 in Mattoon, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Ruth E. (Wilson) Gardner. She married Stephen P. "Steve" Wilson August 16, 1975 at the United Methodist Church in Mattoon and he survives. Other survivors include two sons Alexander T. Wilson and his wife Georgie J. of Urbana and Nicholas R. Wilson and his wife Jaylee A. of Paris, a grandchild Kindred E. Wilson of Paris, a sister Marianne (Gardner) Whitworth and her husband William of Mattoon, her father-in-law Willard Wilson of Eldorado, her mother-in-law Eunice Terry of McLeansboro, brother-in-law David Wilson and his wife Minnie of McLeansboro, brother-in-law Richard Wilson and his compaion Susan of Atlanta, Georgia, brother-in-law Ed Wilson and his wife Angie of Memphis, Tennessee, sister-in-law Amy Bute of Greensburg, Indiana, niece Heather Bute of Greensburg, Indiana, sister-in-law Marilyn Wilson of Eldorado, four nephews; Doug Whitworth of Mattoon, Sam and Les Wilson, both of McLeansboro, and Josh Davis of Eldorado, brother-in-law Ronnie Davis of Eldorado, and two great nephews Tyler and Colin Whitworth, both of Mattoon. Visitation for Mrs. Wilson will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 26 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.
