Douglas Paul Young, age 65, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 2:03 A.M. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Gibson Family Center.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 1st United Methodist Church in Paris, military honors will be prior at the church. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Douglas was born on March 28, 1957 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Paul E. and Virginia Lee (Parker) Young. He married Melody Peters on November 4, 1989, in Paris, Illinois. She preceded him in death on September 29, 2021.

Douglas proudly served his country as member of the United States Navy.

He was a longtime member at First United Methodist Church in Paris. Douglas loved Marvel Comics, painting miniature figurines, and he enjoyed watching auto racing.

He is survived by his children: Caitlin Young of Paris, Illinois, Kelly Young of Paris, Illinois; and his two grandchildren: Elizabeth and Elijah Young both of Paris, Illinois.
