Dorothy L. Waltz, age 99, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 12:20 A.M. on Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Nate Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on September 23, 1923 in Paris, Illinois to William F. and Esther (Nichols) Martin. She married Lawrence Waltz on November 25, 1949 in Henderson, Kentucky. He preceded her in death.

Dorothy was a hairdresser. She was a longtime member of the 1st Christian Church in Paris, a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, and a former member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

She is survived by her children: Marsha Thomey of Paris, Illinois, Olin Ray Waltz (Pat) of Chrisman, Illinois and Gary Litteral (Karen) of Atwood, Illinois; her 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 21 great great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her 2 infant boys, her husband, her parents, a grandson and granddaughter, 1 great grandson, and a son-in-law.
