Dorothy L. Dick, age 62 of Hume, Illinois, passed away at 8:33 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. She was a Packer for Novapak. Born July 9, 1952 in Clinton, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late George and Minnie (Thomas) Prouse. Dorothy was first married to Claude A. Tosser, he passed away February 13, 1974. She then married Charles Dick, Sr. in 1975 at St. Mary's, Indiana and he survives. Other survivors include her children; Charlene L. Maloney of Hume, Illinois, Georganna R. Tosser of Paris, Illinois, Gwendolyn E. Arrasmith of Paris, Illinois, Claude E. Tosser of Kirkland, Illinois, Cari E. Johnson of Paris, Illinois and Charles H. Dick, Jr. of Paris, Illinois, three brothers; Bill Prouse of Centenary, Indiana, David Prouse of Paris, Illinois and Tom Prouse of Paris, Illinois, three sisters; Kathy Dolan of Paris, Illinois, Chris Clark of Charleston, Illinois and Elsie Eslinger of Blanford, Indiana, and sixteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, a son Troy Dean Tosser, who passed away September 29, 1968, one sister Sue Thurman, and three brothers Norman Prouse, Ronnie Prouse and Donnie Prouse. Visitation for Mrs. Dick will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Private burial in Oak Grove Cemetery will be held at a later date.
