Donald A. "Tex" Thompson, age 63 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 11:27 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at his residence. He was self-employed with his lawn care business for 30 years.  He also worked at Northrup King and Unarco.  Mr. Thompson attended Lake Ridge Christian Church.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, took pride in his lawn work, and loved pets.

Born August 26, 1955 in Paris, Illinois, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Virginia (Stotts) Thompson. He married Sara (Johnson) Thompson November 29, 2017 in Paris and she survives.  Other survivors include a daughter McKayla Dawn Thompson (Brandon) Loomis of Cayuga, Indiana, an adopted son Thomas Devers, at home, a granddaughter Raylynn Loomis, three uncles, two aunts, several cousins, and his dog Baby Girl.  He was preceded in death by his sister Laura Lee Matheny.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Lake Ridge Christian Church with Pastor Nate Alexander officiating.
