Donald Joseph Mattingly, age 86, of Paris, Illinois went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 5:36 A.M.

A graveside service will held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July21, 2022 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Paris.

Donald was born on April 19, 1936 in Brocton, Illinois, the son of the late Bernard and Agnes (Carroll) Mattingly. He was married to Nancy Peddycoart from 1963 to 1971. In 1981 Donald married Barbara Jean, she survives.

He was a farmer and served his country as a member in the Army National Guard. After retirement, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and golf. Donald was also a longtime and active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris.

He is survived by his daughter: Shanda (Robert) St. Clair of Bartlett, Tennessee, his step children: Jack (Karen) Miller of Port Richey, Florida, Randy (Lorilee) Miller of St. Cloud, Florida, Gary Miller of Memphis, Indiana, Jacqueline (Gary) Todd of Oakland, Illinois, his brother: Patrick Mattingly of Brocton, Illinois, his sister: Carol (Damon) Johnson of Brocton, Illinois, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Peggy Mattingly McIntosh.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church.
