Donald Lee Hugg's Obituary

Donald Lee Hugg, age 68 of Terre Haute, Indiana and formerly of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 6:11 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was an electrical engineer at Zenith Corp. and the Aerospace Defense Center at Westinghouse. He was known as the T.V. Man. Mr. Hugg studied at DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 346 in Terre Haute, Indiana for 27 years of which he was the former 6th District Commander and was a member of AMVETS. He was bass player for the Larry Staley Trio and several other area bands, and was a member of the Wabash Valley Music Hall of Fame. Born July 18, 1948 in Paris, Illinois, he was the son of the late Charles William and Norma Jean (Myers) Hugg. He married Jacqueline H. (Shadden) Hugg in 1999 in Paris, Illinois, and she survives. Other survivors include three children; Brenda (Hugg) Summers and her husband Joe of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, Keith Hugg and his wife Rebecca of Mary Esther, Florida, and Gretchen (Hugg) Patton of Terre Haute, Indiana, a brother David Hugg and his wife Jean of Paris, Illinois, five granddaughters, and two grandsons. Funeral services for Mr. Hugg will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Smith Officiating, visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
