Dolores Ann Waller's Obituary

Dolores Ann Waller, age 85 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at Paris Healthcare Center in Paris. Born October 6, 1931 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Belva (Roberts) Mattingly. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in Paris and Sacred Heart Academy High School in Springfield, Illinois. She was a homemaker and also had been employed as a teller at Citizens National Bank, worked at Zenith Corp., and was activities director for the former Shady Rest Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and was the former president of Decatur Deanery. She had a great love of music and flowers, and always found good in everyone. Dolores married Harold F. Waller January 8, 1955 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Chris Waller and his wife Melanie of Noble, Illinois and Dr. Mark Waller and his wife Kathy of Bryan, Texas, a brother Lawrence Mattingly of Paris, Illinois, four grandchildren; Amy Woodard and her husband Nick of Clinton, Indiana, RoseMarie Reyna and her husband Barrett of Liberty Hill, Texas, Aaron Waller and his wife Cassie of Killeen, Texas, and Arianna Waller of Bryan, Texas, and three great grandchildren; Colton Bettis of Clinton, Indiana and Cecelia and Remington Reyna, both of Liberty Hill, Texas. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Frank Waller and a sister Mary Jo Black. Visitation for Mrs. Waller will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Rosary recitation at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ronald Hilt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Mary's School.
