David Jacob Nebergall, age 76 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his residence. He was a United States Probation Officer. Mr. Nebergall served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964 and was a member of American Legion Post 211. He was also a member of Lake Ridge Christian Church, was a Master Mason of Paris Masonic Lodge # 268 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, and a member of Scottish Rite Free Masonry Valley of Danville.

Born February 9, 1942 in Symmes Township, Edgar County, Illinois, he was the son of the late Herald and Gladys (Emrick) Nebergall. He married Janis Kay Frisz December 3, 1965 in Terre Haute, Indiana and she survives. Other survivors include two sons, Gary Nebergall and his wife Lisa of Arthur, Illinois and Scott Nebergall and his wife Stephanie of Allenton, Michigan and two granddaughters, Samantha Nebergall of Arthur, Illinois and Harper Nebergall of Allenton, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Nebergall.

Visitation for Mr. Nebergall will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, May 18, 2018 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Lake Ridge Christian Church with Pastor Nate Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.
