David Wayne Long, age 66 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 1:32 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his residence. David was a machinist for W.W. Barnhart Company and also had worked at Pretium Packaging.  He was a United States Navy veteran, serving for six years.

Born January 3, 1953 in Bethesda, Maryland, he was the son of the late John D. and Mary Ellen (Grubb) Long. Survivors include a sister Rose Conrad and her husband Steve of Columbia, Illinois, and two nephews, Jordan Conrad of Tokyo, Japan and Jacob Conrad, his wife Danielle, and their son Dylan of Columbia, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by a sister Martha Anne Long.
