David Lee Johnson, 69, of Chrisman, IL passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015. Visitation will be from 2-4p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, Paris. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 5, 2015 at Friends Chapel Church of Scottland. Burial will be in Friends Chapel Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 477. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

David was born April 5, 1945 in Danville, IL the only child of Charles "Boots" and Ruby Bonwell Johnson. He married Carolyn Stultz on September 12, 1970 at Friends Chapel.

He is survived by his wife and two sons Scott (Melanie) Johnson of Chrisman, Kevin (Heidi) Johnson of Kansas City, MO and four grandchildren Eli, Maecy, Ethan and Charlie Johnson.

David was a lifelong farmer in the Scottland area, a 1963 graduate from Scottland High School. He served in the Army National Guard from 1965 until 1971 and a member of the Chrisman American Legion Post 477 for 45 years.
