Darryl Ray Cochran, age 83 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 8:59 P.M. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the funeral home with Bro. Kurt Speece officiating. Burial will take place in Vermilion Cemetery.

Darryl was born on June 17, 1941, in Paris, Illinois to Ray Cochran and Dorothy May (Graham) Bartlett. He married his wife of 64 years, Charlene Bennett on February 29, 1960, in Paris and she survives.

He worked for the Midwestern Gas Company and later worked on the Pipeline for many years, retiring at age 53. Darryl was an avid woodworker and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene; his children: Anita Reed, Dwayne Cochran, Darryl Ray Cochran Jr.; his grandchildren: Lasha Watson, Lucas Reed, Ethan Cochran, Jordan Cochran; five great grandchildren; and his brother: Donald Anthony Cochran.

Darryl is preceded in death by his parents.
