Daniel Lane Floyd, age 60 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 5:27 AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at his home.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00PM to 5:00PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the VFW in Paris. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Daniel was born on October 14, 1965 in Paris, Illinois to James and Mary (Kelly) Floyd-Ashley. He married Ruby Jones and she survives.

He worked at the local broom factory and spent 20 years working at the golf course.

He is survived by his wife, his children: Joey (Hannah), Savannah, James (Adrea), Shane, Tilar (Jessica), Mary (Blake); his grandchildren: Michael Floyd, Nic Mohler, Peyton Towell, Kaylie Towell, Carmon Floyd, Gaven Floyd, Cayden Floyd, Scarllet Floyd, Matthew Floyd, Hendrix Towell, Ava Fleener, Lainey Floyd, Joshua Pitts, Cash Floyd, Ava Floyd, Liah Maxwell, Beckham Overaker,  Blakeley Overaker, 2 great grandchildren, his siblings: Marylou, Buck (Louann), Randy, and Lori Robinson (Shawn).

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, his step father, Claude Ashley, his granddaughter, Elizabeth Floyd, and his brother, Gary Floyd.
