Daisy L. Richardson, 97 of Allerton, Illinois, passed away at her home on October 26, 2016.  Daisy was born February 8, 1919 in Watertown, Tennessee.  She married Leslie Richardson, now deceased, on May 24, 1940. Also preceding her in death are sons, Danny Richardson and Elmer Richardson, an infant daughter, and three sisters; Bertha Gilbert, Golie Lucas, and Ella Jones. She is survived by her daughters Velma (Larry) Liddle, of Huntley, Illinois, Wilma (William) Ellis of Longview, Illinois, and Beverly Richardson of Danville, Illinois;  and sons Jerry (Phyllis) Richardson of Hume, Illinois, Kenneth (Susan) Richardson of Boca Raton, Florida, Everett (Tracy deceased) Richardson of Champaign, Illinois, Jim (Chris) Richardson of Allerton, Illinois, and Patrick (Lisa) Richardson of Carlsbad, California. Daisy enjoyed having her twenty grandchildren and thirty one great-grandchildren around her.  On Daisy's 96 ^th birthday the village of Allerton presented her with an Honorary Key to the Village for being the oldest resident. The plaque reads:  This key to the Village of Allerton is hereby awarded to Daisy Richardson for her many faithful years in our Village.  Daisy has resided in Allerton for almost a half century coming to the community in 1967.  Graveside services will be conducted at 2:15 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 in Edgar Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Beverly Richardson Care Fund in care of Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.
