Cynthia Ann (Lorenzen) Andreasen, age 64, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away at 4:51 P.M. on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. CST on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church in Paris, Illinois. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. CST on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the church. Private family burial will be at a later date at Hoult Cemetery in Chrisman, Illinois. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Cindy was born on January 17, 1959 in Danville, Illinois to John T. and Leila (Conner) Lorenzen. She married Hans Christian Andreasen on June 13, 1981 at Grace Lutheran Church in Paris. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage together.
Cindy was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and was teacher for 10 years at various Indiana schools. She was a longtime and active member at Grace Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Friendship Guild, Board of Education, choir, Vacation Bible School teacher, and art leader. She was also involved in Union Hospital Service League.
Cindy was also a North High School football mom, a sports mom for her 3 kids. She enjoyed tennis league, gardening, flowers, loved to travel, finding good restaurants, and was an avid artist.
She is survived by her husband; Hans Christian Andreasen of Terre Haute, Indiana; her children: Leila Danielle (Mark) Van Gemert of Indianapolis, Indiana, Nathan (Sarah) Andreasen of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicholas (Brittany) Andreasen of Terre Haute, Indiana; her siblings: Steve (Vicki) Lorenzen of Chrisman, Illinois, John Lorenzen of Chrisman, Illinois, Nancy (William) Sanders of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jeannie (Brad) Taylor of Oakland, Illinois; and her four grandchildren: Ethan James Van Gemert, Leila Elise Van Gemert, Corbyn Rodi Andreasen, and Fynton Reed Andreasen.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Carmen Lorenzen, and her nephew, Zachary Lorenzen.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Grace Lutheran Child Development Center.
