Cornelius "Mike" Mansfield, 79, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on January 6, 1943 in Paris, IL to Owen and Miriam (Coady) Mansfield.  They preceded him in death along with his brother Joe and his wife, Betty.

Surviving are four children, Debbie (B.J.) DeFord of Oviedo, FL, A.J. Mansfield of Des Moines, IA, Michael (Nancy) Mansfield of Chillicothe, Chad (Amanda) Mansfield of Canton, four grandchildren, Lindsey Mansfield, Emily (Jesse) Thorne, Caleb DeFord, Madeline Mansfield and two great grandchildren, McKenna and Michaela.

Mike worked as a salesman for Purnell Old Folks Sausage.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus St George Council.  He was also a member of the Canton Elks Lodge #626.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 4-6 pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.  A funeral service will follow on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, IL at 1pm with a visitation two hours prior at the funeral home in Paris, IL. Burial will follow the funeral at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Paris, IL.
