Charles Nicholas Wiggins

A visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, IL.

Charles "Chuck" Wiggins, is preceded in death by his father Lester and Uncle Louis. Survived by his mother Carol (Kendall) Wiggins; sister Charla (Robert) Evinger; son Chris (Amy) Wiggins, granddaughter Evelyn and baby girl due in October; daughter Kayla (Austin) Wiggins-Hoesman, grandchildren Dominic, Theodore and Lillian; two nieces, a nephew, aunt, uncle and cousin.

His father taught him to weld on the farm pretty young, and they worked on cars together.

He had a lifelong interest in racing. First, racing stock cars at Putnamville, then road racing CBX, motorcycle drag racing, and then he started his kids on quarter midgets.

He spent most of his adult life as a boilermaker, retiring in 2010.

He was always ready with a helping hand, a word of advice or argument, an idea to try, and especially tools to get the job done. He was a man of many talents, from building up a motorcycle engine bolt by bolt, to blowing up garages in his spare time. He lived a life full of laughter and many miles spent on a motorcycle.
