Charles "Chuck" Crunk, Sr. age 86 of Chrisman, Illinois passed away at 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Horizon Health Hospital in Paris, Illinois.
A private graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Charles was born on November 27, 1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late George Crunk and Irene Dunn Crunk. He married Betty Stover Crunk on January 24, 1955 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She survives.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was also a proud Korean War Veteran. After his military service, Charles worked as a steel fabricator for Aster Steel and Allith Corp. in Danville, Illinois. He was also a longtime member of the Chrisman Christian Church in Chrisman, Illinois.
Charles is survived by his wife, Betty Stover Crunk; his children: Terry Lynn (Loren) Roach of Pawnee, Illinois, Charles F. Crunk Jr. of Paris, Illinois, Kathy (Jeff) Tucker of Chrisman, Illinois, Randy Wayne (Pam) Crunk of Paris, Illinois, Lori Ann (Howard) Wagoner of Chrisman, Illinois, Carla Jean (Andy) Duke of Danville, Illinois, 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his children, John Andrew Crunk and Charlotte; his brothers: Thomas Crunk, Bill Crunk, Albert "Bub" Crunk, Donald Crunk, James Gosnell, his sister, Rosetta Asbury and 2 grandchildren, Jessica Lynn and Kenzie Mae.
