Catherine Sue Prouse, age 62, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

In keeping with State of Illinois mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, everyone attending the service must wear a mask while inside the funeral home. Everyone is welcome but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects may do so.

A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral in Paris, Illinois, with a memorial service to follow.

Catherine was born on March 2, 1958 in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Dale and Linda (Shivlar) Gilbert.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed puzzles, crafts, Hallmark movies, and Christmas.

Catherine is survived by her children: Valerie (Michael) Stark of Paris, Illinois, Dustin Prouse of Paris, Illinois, Felicia Prouse of Paris, Illinois; her life partner: Don Witherspoon of Paris, Illinois; her siblings: Terri McCarty of Paris, Illinois, Paul (Carla) Gilbert of Paris, Illinois, Don "Glick" Gilbert of Paris, Illinois, Tony (Tammy) Gilbert of Paris, Illinois; her grandchildren: Ashley Scales, Cayla Delaney, Holly Scales, Courtney Scales, Alexis Prouse, Melanie Prouse, Jamie Prouse, Lily Prouse, Abby Prouse, Joeseph Dulaney; her 6 great-grandchildren; and her dog Shorty.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Dale and Linda Gilbert

Memorials may be made in Catherine's honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
