Catherene C. Colter's Obituary
Catherene C. "Cricket" Colter, age 86 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at Paris Community Hospital. She had been employed in maintenance and housekeeping at Cadillac Products and also had been employed at Zenith Corp., Paris Metals, and Northrup King. She was a member of Lake Ridge Christian Church. Born January 23, 1930 in Paris, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Lucille (Morris) Taylor. Survivors include her children; Randel T. (Sandy) Colter of Paris, Illinois, Mary Lou (Lennie) Erwin of Paris, Illinois, and Carol Kay (Patrick) Davis of Edgewater, Florida, two brothers, John Taylor of Paris, Illinois and James (Kay) Taylor of Paris, Illinois, grandchildren; Courtney (Chad) Rigdon of Paris, Illinois, Brandy (Dave) Pine of Paris, Illinois, Eric (Brittany) Erwin of Paris, Illinois, and Brian Davis of Edgewater, Florida, and great-grandchildren; Ely Rigdon, Laela Rigdon, Staley Pine, Halas Pine, David Davis, and Mackenzy Tibbs. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bill Taylor, Roy Taylor, and Morris Taylor, and a sister Barbara Thomas. Following cremation, a memorial celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Lake Ridge Christian Church. Private burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Edgar Cemetery. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, or Pleasant Meadows Senior Living.
