Carolyn P. Keen, age 90, of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Paris, Illinois passed away at 4:45 AM on Monday, August 31, 2026 at North River Nursing Facility in Evansville, Indiana.
A visitation will take place on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Paris with burial in Edgar Cemetery.
Carolyn was born on March 24, 1936, in Paris, Illinois to Wilbur T. and Mary C. (Mitchell) Morrisey. She married Glen Edward Keen in Paris, Illinois and he preceded her in death.
Carolyn worked as a secretary throughout her life and was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She had a love for gardening and cooking and especially enjoyed baking her homemade pies and cookies along with making her famous fried chicken and lasagna. Whenever family gathered, Carolyn always made sure everyone was well fed, and sharing those meals and treats was one of the many ways she showed her love.
In her free time, Carolyn enjoyed creating small paintings and expressing her creativity. She also loved dancing and listening to music, which remained favorite pastimes throughout her life. Above all, she treasured the simple joys of home, family, and time spent with those she loved. She had a lot of people from North River who loved her company. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her children: Diana (Doug) Lisak of Overland Park, Kansas, Kenneth (Suzanne) Keen of Elberfeld, Indiana, Thomas Keen ( Susanne) of Mason, Ohio, Glen (Julie) E. Keen II of Elburn, Illinois; her sister: Lois (Jim) Moore of Paris, Illinois, her grandchildren: Bryant (Allison) Keen, Blake (Jaclyn) Keen, Mitchell Lisak, Anna (Jarod) Kullberg, Hayley Lisak, Christian Keen, Noah Keen, Taylor Keen, Samuel Keen, Macie Keen; her great grandchildren: Beckham Keen, Bennett Keen, Anistyn Keen, Grayson Keen, Kinsley Keen, Eli Keen, Maverick Keen and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Linda (Don) Clayton of Portland, Oregon, and brother Edward Morrisey of Paris, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
