Carolyn Lucille Becher, age 84 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 9:14 p.m. EST Friday, November 9, 2018 at Harrison's Crossing Health Campus, Terre Haute, Indiana. Mrs. Becher was an executive secretary for U.O. Colson and Company. She also had been an executive secretary for Convair in California, the Human Resource Center, and Charles Becher Land Surveying Company. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Born July 14, 1934 in Tell City, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Pearless and Margaret (Howard) Johnson. She married Charles John Becher June 27, 1953 in Ferdinand, Indiana and he survives. Other survivors include a son Daniel Lee Becher and his wife Kay of Paris, a sister Janice Tindall and her husband Ron of Owensboro, Kentucky, four grandchildren; Jessica Blair and her husband Brian of Paris, Danielle Stone and her husband Jon of Paris, C.J. Becher and his wife Mary Jo of Paris, and Lindsey Cavell and her husband Matt of Fishers, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren; Brianna, Caitlin, Zane, Sean, Trysten, Kloie, Ella, Annalee, Molly, Maggie, Becher, Macstyn, and Maven, all of Paris, and Grant of Fishers, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings; Jack Johnson, Eugene Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Pearless "Junie" Johnson, and Marsha Reed.
Visitation for Mrs. Becher will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Valery Burusu officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
