John William (Bill) Simons age 88 of North Augusta, South Carolina, formerly of Paris, passed away at his residence on October 29, 2020.

In keeping with Federal Mandates due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the number of people allowed at the service is 10 and everyone in attendance must wear a mask. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday December 5, 2020 at Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois.

Bill was born on February 27, 1932 in Paris, Illinois the son of the late John William and Lydia (Hovis) Simons. He married Mary Jo Simons; she preceded him in death on December 13, 2009.

He was a mechanic, service manager, small business owner and a teacher throughout his lifetime.

Bill is survived by his children: Deborah (George) Brack of North Augusta, South Carolina, William (Laura) Simons of San Diego, California, Bernie (Debbie) Simons of San Diego, California; his grandchildren: Lillian Simons, Victoria Simons, Jordan Brack, Tammi Hampton, and Gina Morris.
