Betty Lou Turpin peacefully went home to Jesus on January 7, 2019 at age 94.

Betty was born to Charles & Exie Wright on December 14, 1924 in Eldridge Township, Edgar County, IL.

Betty met and fell in love with her husband, Floyd Dale Turpin, known to everyone as 'Turp'. They married on October 26, 1946 and made their home in Vermilion, IL. They went on to have two children, Larry Dale Turpin & Nancy Lou Turpin.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother, Betty also loved attending services at the Vermilion Methodist Church. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She moved to Texas with her husband in 2008 to be near her daughter, Nancy.

Betty joins her parents, Charles & Exie; and her siblings, Dorthadine Rhoden, William Wright, and Beverly Hanks; and her husband, Turp; and her son, Larry, in Heaven. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Martinka & husband Gene Martinka of Killeen, TX; her grandchildren, Cosette Brannon & husband Jeff Brannon of Weatherford, TX, Steven McCullough & wife Jeanne McCullough of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Gene-a Salvati & her husband Adam Salvati of Georgetown, TX, Jauna Cothran of Georgetown, TX, Jarret Martinka & his wife Becky Martinka of Georgetown, TX; her great-grandchildren, Colton, Collin, & Gavin Brannon, Jessica & Tyler Davis, Sara & Caroline Salvati, Kemble & Nate Cothran, Tyler & Jacob Martinka, her great-great granddaughters, Ava Grace Lowery & Ella Davis; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
