Betty Joann Payne, age 76, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 11:27 P.M. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 4:00P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.

Betty was born on April 29, 1946 in Marshall, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Forrest and Dorthfreda (Connelly) Roberts. She married Harry Clinton Payne on November 20, 1982, he survives.

Betty enjoyed her lifelong career as beautician.

She is survived by her children: Mike (Carla) Duke of Paris, Illinois, Rodney Duke of Alabama, David Payne of Boonville, Indiana, Susie (Randy) Brooks of Boonville, Indiana, Keavin (Marcia) Payne of Boonville, Indiana, Michael (Melissa) Payne of Boonville, Indiana, Rodney (Justine) Payne of Boonville, Indiana, her three brothers, seven sisters, and twenty grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and one sister.
