Betty McDaniel, age 85 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 1:51 A.M. on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.

Betty was born on June 28, 1939, in Charleston, Illinois to Oscar and Hettie (Dickerson) Steen. She married Robert Dale McDaniel on July 2, 1955, he preceded her in death.

Betty was a telephone operator at Paris Community Hospital and a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Paris. She enjoyed taking care of her yard, caring for her pets and above all, loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Debra Ann Heltsley (Mike), Robert Dale McDaniel Jr. (Annette); her grandchildren: Spenser Barrett, Seth Barrett, Skylar Barrett, Justin Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Caleb McDaniel, Kyle McDaniel, and Craig McDaniel; her great grandchildren: Samuel Byrd, Rhett Thompson, and Reagan Thompson; and her brother Bob Steen.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her daughter: Darla Kay (McDaniel) Barrett, and her siblings: Glen Steen, Wayne Steen, Virginia Reed, and Jack Steen.
